Analysis
Focal point- The arrows are the focal point. Rather than using an outline to focus the viewer’s eye onto the arrows he has used a colour contrast. He has placed the arrows in the middle where the lighter colours of the gradients are positioned. The arrows bring attention to the viewer’s eye because of the bright colours painted on top of the light background.
What is the colour pallet used?
He has used a colour pallet of orange and indigo tonal scales. Following the theme and title of the composition ‘separation in the evening’; he has incorporated the light and dark colours of the sky between evening and night.
What is repeated?
The arrows are repeated, showing separation between light and dark times of the day. These arrows are also repeated in various other compositions he has made in this century. They are apparently a spiritual part of him, that is expressed into his works
